Freezing Johnson’s Strawberries Simply rinse and hull berries. Place on a cookie sheet lined w/parchment or wax paper. Place in freezer and allow to freeze 2-3 hrs. Remove trays and place berries in freezer bags, return to freezer. Remember, frozen berries are best used in jams, recipes, smoothies etc. TRY THIS DELICIOUS RECIPE…. STRAWBERRY SALSA 1 pint strawberries, quartered 1 cup chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 2 TBS finely chopped jalapeno, seeds removed 2 TBS chopped fresh cilantro 1 tsp grated lime zest 1 TBS lime juice 1 TBS balsamic vinegar 1/2 TBS salt 1/4 tsp black pepper Combine strawberries, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, cilantro, and lime zest in a large bowl and set aside. Whisk together lime juice, balsamic vinegar, salt/pepper in a small bowl and pour over the strawberry mixture. Toss gently to combine, cover bowl w/plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hr.
